You can't dismantle Patriarchy by denying the Divine Feminine
đ§Listen (13 mins)Unveiling Patriarchy one Goddess at a time
Hereâs something that has been on my mind recently.
You see, most of the time I mind my own business. Iâll see something on the internet and like a decent human being I would scroll away without commenting.
But, a few months ago I saw a repeat pattern and to be honest it enraged me. I was filled with anger and I wanted to call out what I was seeing. But at the same time, I knew I had to calm down and process what I was feeling first.
So after a couple of months and feeling all my feelings, I do think it is finally time for me to say my piece without all the emotions.

Hereâs what is becoming increasingly common (at least I have seen 6-7 instances)
There are far too many women in the business of âwomen empowermentâ. Some of them have made millions of dollars and as a result, have a massive audience. Itâs great that they have accomplished this. Women need to make more money. Period.
The only reason why I am bringing up this fact is because this privilege of wealth and fame gives them access to an influence not a lot of people have. They have access to rooms and audiences which not a lot of people have. This means they can spread ideas and influence the thinking of their audience which in their case mostly are womenÂ
A lot of these women who help other women with âwomen empowermentâ talk about how Patriarchy has held us back and how they help women unpack that whole conditioning. Great! So far we are on the same side.
They are usually in the business of women rewiring their belief system so we can identify how Patriarchy is at the root of so many of our beliefs, such as unworthiness, guilt, and shame. Awesome!! Agreed!!
I noticed that there will usually be a sentence or two about âhow what they do is rooted in practicalityâ, even science because maybe they have graduated from Harvard or they have a very pragmatic mindset and the work that they do is not âwoo-wooâ and itâs definitely not related to the Divine Feminine.
Their website or content will then have a joke on The Divine Feminine or âGoddess Channeling PriestessesâÂ
If I am being honest, now that I write about this, it doesnât make me angry but it does make me sad. Because this is where we begin to differ.Â
You see Patriarchy didnât start with women doubting themselves. Women didnât wake up one day and started believing that they were not good enough or unworthy.
Patriarchy didnât start with unequal pay wages. As of today, Women working full time, year round are paid 83.7% of what men are paid. This inequity is even greater for Black and Hispanic women. But this inequity isnât what started Patriarchy.
Patriarchy didnât start with the overturn of Roe vs Wade.
It didnât start with any of the above. This mess we are in right now, is the middle of the Patriarchy racket. We are in the throes of it. In the thick of it fighting the good fight. And yes we all need to fight the good fight.Â
But, this isnât what started the Patriarchy.
Patriarchy started over 3000 years ago and it started with the same thing many are doing right now.Â
It started with the suppression of the Divine Feminine. It started with the denial of the Divine Feminine.
It started when they destroyed the temples of the Goddesses.
It started when they executed women who were seers, who were healers, who were midwives. Remember the Witch Trials?
It started with women turning against women. Daughter against daughter. Sister against sister. Friend against friend.
It started when they turned Mary Magdalene into a whore and removed women from the pages of history (or herstory) including religious texts.Â
It started when the first 7 pages of the Gospel of Mary were torn away and were lost to the world forever. What could have been so powerful and dangerous in a womanâs words that they had to destroy it and then bury the evidence for centuries?
In the book âWitchâ by Lisa Lister, she writes âThe oldest work of prehistoric art ever discovered, The Venus of Wilendorf, is a small clay statue of a fertile woman. She has an abundant stomach, a twerk-worthy bum, and huge pendulous breasts. She is the fertility goddess worshipped in those times.â
Divine Feminine has existed since the beginning of time. Ancient societies had priestesses: the women of the temples of Artemis, the oracle of Apollo at Delphi, the Celtic priestesses of Britain, the priestesses of Isis and the Goddesses of India, Kali, Durga, Laxmi, Parvati, and many more!Â
You see when you shit on The Divine Feminine, you donât dismantle Patriarchy, you join their hands. You marry their cause.
The Witch Hunts started in 1484. And a âwitchâ for the Church was any strong woman. Women who were healers, midwives in particular were labeled witches.
Donât we know this is what they do and have done for centuries? Turning us women against each other.
So when anyone calls a woman who has remembered who she is and is doing the work of the Divine Feminine as a priestess or as healer or as a space holder or as a bodyworker, a âfakeâ, âB.Sâ or âwoo-wooâ, you take us back 3000 years.
The wound that Patriarchy left is deep and itâs not going to heal by just changing our belief system. Itâs going to heal with compassion, with acceptance.
I am not asking anyone to accept The Divine Feminine. Sheâll knock at your door when and if the time is right. I am not even asking you to make space for those who do the work of the Divine Feminine at your table. Nope.
The Sacred Feminine needs nothing from you. She will do and keep doing what she has always done. She will keep rising, she will keep awakening and she will keep spreading. She cannot be kept quiet. So whether you choose to deny her, like the men in power did, and by that extension, deny the Goddesses, it doesnât make a difference to Her.
All I am asking, pleading with anyone who thinks of Divine Feminine as some âfadâ is to âseeâ. Notice.
Notice if you are in truth, dismantling the Patriarchy or aiding the PatriarchyÂ
In your life, in your work, and with your clients, when you continue to deny the Feminine, when you call the âCeremonial workâ of a priestess B.S and when you deny the energies that exist all around you, in the breath you take, the ground you stand on, the water you pour on your body and the blood you bleed every month, you aid the Patriarchy.Â
I believe that if we truly want to dismantle the Patriarchy. If we want to take back our power, we first need to heal the Patriarchy. Men need to do this as much as women do. We first need to close this rift between us. With kindness, with compassion, acceptance, and love.
You can keep fighting that good fight to help your clients but donât fall into their trap again and donât let us not get separated again. We are on the same side, you and me.Â
The more we deny the Divine Feminine, the more we fear our own power, which was, and still is, exactly the point of Patriarchal Propaganda.
If this resonates with you then great. I have done my job here. And if it doesnât then donât listen to me. But do listen to the wisdom of your body. Tune in. Go deep. Listen to the echoes of the truth that resides there. Maybe you will hear the whispers of The Divine Feminine speaking to you too.
Beckoning you Home,
